To The Prime Minister The Republic Of India ISSUE: Delay in getting justice for Aarushi Talwar and family. Sir, this petition seeks to draw the attention of investigating authorities, print and electronic media and public in general towards the Aarushi Talwar murder case and the delay in getting justice for her and the Talwar's. A year ago on 16th May, 2008 a 14 year old teenager, Aarushi Talwar and the Talwar's domestic help, Hemraj was murdered. The murder catched the nations imagination and within no time the media and investigating authorities sensationalized the entire episode. Suspicion was raised on the Talwars and Dr.Rajesh Talwar, father of the teenage Aarushi was taken in police custody for 14 days. The evidences were distorted and fingers were raised on Aarushi's character. The family suffered not only from the loss of teenage daughter but also disgrace to the family reputation. After all the theories and speculations created havoc in the media, the case was handled by CBI and clean chit was given to Dr.Rajesh Talwar. Justice still awaits for Aarushi and the Talwars, who suffered because of the negligence of the Police and Media. We unanimously demand strict punishment for the responsible people and authorities in this case.
