It's time to move on from this controversy and get back to defending and advancing the profession of nurse anesthesia.

Expend all necessary resources toward REMOVING FEDERAL SUPERVISION REQUIREMENT: eliminate this burdensome practice barrier and the political opt-out.

It's time to stop bickering, hold ourselves to high standards like our profession always has, and to show support for our AANA while there are REAL threats to our profession looming.

It appears that a very vocal group of dissatisfied CRNAs have been occupying the attention of the NBCRNA, AANA board, Executive Director/CEO and AANA staff with their complaints and dissatisfaction. It is time for these "professionals" to accept the upcoming changes and allow the boards and staff to move forward with the business of the AANA.

The Board needs to be freed to resume their attention on other matters, the advocacy of the profession!

The AANA is a professional organization that moves forward the interests of its members. The NBCRNA's mission is to promote patient safety and quality of practitioners. In the AANA's primary role as CRNA advocate, it has done an admirable job of voicing CRNA concerns to the NBCRNA regarding the issues raised by its members about the recertification process. Both of these great organizations have my full support.

The AANA has been the credentialing body not only for nurse anesthesia programs but also for the certification and recertification of all CRNAs for more than 30 years. By signing this petition we send a strong message of support to our organization, we as CRNAs must act soon and come together for our profession

If we as CRNAs do not get it together, I doubt others will vouch for us.

I agree with this resolution. There are important matters the AANA has missed secondary to this squabbling such as devoping out R own data reporting agency to met the needs of CRNAs in submitting PQRS quality data to CMS. We're already 3 years behind in meeting this need. Time to spend out time, energy and money in this direction. Maybe in consert with the NBCRNA

It is time that we allow our Aana board of directors and staff to do their jobs and advocate for the profession
