Keep the Polyester Uniform!!
CUO Young: "All Cadets Encase you don't know who i am, I am CUO Young, Regional Cadet commander of NSW AAC. At the moment we will not be wearing Polyesters to ANZAC day. As we are no longer permitted to wear them. We are not going to stand around and do nothing as the commander takes away one of the most valued parts of the cadet uniform. they are targeting the Sam Brown, pacestick and swords as well. That's all culture and tradition out the door. we are all in agreement that what they are doing is just putting another wedge between us and the Australian Army, something we should be taking pride in, not trying to detach ourselves from. We as cadets do have an opportunity to protest. what we encourage you do do is discuss the issue with your support unit, local RSL and such. discuss the fact that in return for the financial support they give us, we return and do ceremonial parades for them. the loss of polyester uniforms will downgrade our performance and professionalism. They are more than likely going to sympathise with our cause and agree that is a stupid thing to take away. encourage them to complain to the RSL of NSW and further up. we need to get the fact that we dont like the changes heard. it is no use simply complaining. take action."
