On December 10, 2011 the New York Times published an article by Mosi Secret on the front page and continued on page A19.

The article was Titled "Airline Baggage Ripe for Rifling and Smuggling"

The article is about, American Airlines low-wage employees who are baggage handlers that have been involved in stealing from passengers baggage in PA,there was also drug trafficking at JFK.

The editor and author of the article quoted Ephraim Savitt.

The lawyer who filed a motion to dismiss the counts for the employees who were charged in these crimes made blanket statement saying,

"it became very obvious that everyone in American Airline baggage service is dirty".

If they don't steal commercial cargo on a regular basis, they are going to rifle suitcases.

This petition is on behalf of all the baggage hander employees’s who work for American Airline and are unjust fully being call dirty in this article.

The fact is that the New York Times published this article without investigating the facts.

They have publicly slandered and demoralized every baggage handler that works for American Airlines.

We are seeking a front page retraction to this article publicly apologizing for the following reasons.

1. 80% baggage handlers are not involved in criminal activity as quoted.

2. American Airlines as you know has file for Bankruptcy. Should they decide to down size and any baggage handlers are laid-off and has to find a new job this article could be very prejudice toward any employee!  We are not criminals and the vast majority of the baggage handlers are honest hard working employees who are being blamed for a few employees that were dishonest.

3. This article was published in several paper around the world and could cause undo harm to good employee's of American Airlines in baggage handling.

4. Should the New York Times decide not to publish a public retraction will have to file a wrongful suit against the New York Times and Mosi Secret for slander and deformation of character of the 10,763 baggage handlers at American Airlines.
