Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

Binsted village and woods should be preserved and enjoyed now and in the future

I was born and brought up in the countryside near Arundel and lived for a time in Binsted. The ancient woodlands and rural countryside is irreplaceable. Please do not despoil it.

Destroying a beautiful little village! Unacceptable

Please save our precious countryside and the wildlife therein. Once it's gone, it can never be replaced.

Option 1 best as would not increase or encourage greater ammount of traffic as the other options ,and do less harm to farmland, woodlands, wetland and the peaceful life of historic villages and houses.

I don't live near Arundel I live in Brighton, but I care a great deal about West Sussex, and Arundel. I want to support the wildlife, the villages and the future happiness of the people who live there. My vote is for Option One, with mitigations

Find this a totatal disgrace to our history and our heritage ,this needs to be stopped.i love living in this area ,I chose to live here because it's in the country I don't want to see it destroyed

Options 1 and 3 also represent major threats to our wildlife heritage, and should be rejected as well

All Highways England proposals are too damaging to local communities, irreplaceable local countryside and the South Downs National Park. There is an alternative proposal put forward by Arundel residents for a single carriageway with a short piece of new road avoiding all the hold ups around Arundel - the New Purple Route. Minimise the disturbance of people and countryside not affected by the current situation.

If there has to be a bypass it should be as short as possible. A different option should be considered to reduce the impact on Binsted's community and the beautiful landscape that is loved by locals and visitors alike.

The creation of new dual carriage ways in the countryside should not be allowed. I live in an area bisected by many fast A roads and the noise from the dual carriage ways never ceases, day and night. It has filled our lanes with traffic in large volumes rushing from one fast road to another, creating danger to children, wildlife and cyclists. Its not just the road searing through the landscape, but the noise, and impacts on the surrounding lanes and villages. A new dual carriageway results in more commuters, dormitory homes and higher house prices that make rural living unaffordable for the non-professional classes. It has ruined what was once peaceful countryside and a local rural economy in East Hertfordshire. Don't let it happen at Binstead.

Binsted Wood is a special place that has been here longer than us! Let's not outlive it! Highways England leave our countryside alone and build a tunnel instead.

Sorry away on 8/10.We think option 1 seems the less obtrusive and probably cheapest. Definitely do not want 5a. It would be a ruination of pristine village life to be forever lost.

If only this Government would stop demanding more houses be built on our beautiful countryside we would not need to have these battles to preserve our quality of life and that of our wildlife and countryside.
