Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

Over 13 years I travelled daily between my home in Brighton to Chichester. I don't want the beautiful countryside to be polluted by more traffic.

This route should be avoided in order to protect local villages, ancient woodland and wildlife in the area.

Please give full consideration to the alternative route proposed

Please don't give us yet another new road. Concentrate on improving other forms of transport, especially rail.

We need a new vision for transport that creatively and radically reduces millions of unnecessary inefficient car journeys, NOT more roads where they destroy our precious countryside!

Protect our woodlands, no more deforestation for drivers convenience.

It's our world too.

There is no need for another road. We want the woods, the bats, the woodpeckers, the badgers and to maintain the area for hobbyists and nature lovers.

Please don't the animals will die and we will lose a historical site and archery won't be able to be done there just for a highway

This is outrageous. See today's Guardian about rights for nature in law

National Parks are meant to be protected from inappropriate changes.

More roads encourage more cars and lorries

I hope Highways England will LISTEN to local people and give environmental issues priority.

Please minimise the expansion of roads by improving other means of transport.

No Bypass is required if public transport, walking and cycling is encouraged requiring 5% of the cost of a bypass

We cannot replace wonder full villages that are trashed by developments ,please listen to the local folks and support a friendly option.

This is an unacceptable route, destroying much value countryside and endangering the wellbeing of both people amd wildlife. Other solutions must be investigsted thoroughly, including improved rail links to reduce traffic, especially at peak periods.

Please reject option 5A

We should be valuing our beautiful countryside and amazing woodlands more - not destroying them - especially when better, cheaper, less destructive, more holistic solutions are available

I knoww this area well, having grown up in the South East. The proposed plan is environmental vandalism and goes against the Government's supposed green agenda. Think again, please.
