This route will destroy my village

The grey route completely flys in the face of the Government’s alleged commitment to climate change. It is irresponsible, reckless and a complete waste of public funds. I am appalled by the short term thinking, the lack of vision and the inability to tackle the problem head on. We need to reduce road travel with viable alternatives.

I’m opposed to the grey route, as it’s unnecessarily impactful on so many lives, destroying as it will the entity that is the Parish of Walberton.

This route is criminal damage to our rural landscape, the nature that lives there, and the ancient monuments that surround us.

Lived here for 68 years for what to die from noise and fumes 50 yards from my house.

Sounds like common sense has finally broken out but we really need to see a detailed map/artist's impression & ideally a computer simulated drive video. Best of British Luck with convincing the HE!

The grey route will be an environmental disaster. Choose the Arundel Alternative.

It is incomprehensible that a new bypass road is proposed that would carve through and ultimately decimate several charming, characterful, well conserved, quiet villages rich with endangered wildlife species. Save our village communities! Save our right to enjoy our homes! Save our peace and quiet! People before roads.

The grey route neither fulfils the objectives set, is the highest cost & had only 7% public support - the data on traffic at Yapton Lane in Walberton is incorrect - less than half the actual figures. This is being rushed through to the detriment of Walberton village, its parishioners and councillors who clearly have no value to HE.

Please re-think this proposed road route!. The grey route proposal is going to be a disaster for local wildlife, the local environment & for local villages!.

The grey route should be categorically rejected. The only acceptable alternative is the option for a short bypass from Crossbush Roundabout to Ford Road Junction

The Arundel alternative is transparently obvious as the right choice. Highways England exist to build roads - their priority or concern is never local residents environment or wildlife. We have less woodland and less nature proportionally than any European country and come in the bottom 10 countries worldwide for efforts to enhance and conserve nature. This kind of proposal is the main reason why. The grey route would only save 6-11 minutes on a journey. Is it really worth decimating much loved rare species and habitat, in addition to ruining the peace and tranquility of local residents? No it is not, and never could be. Start saving and protecting our rural heritage NOW, whilst we still have some.

Please keep historically the countryside as it is, my 13th GGfather William Staker would want the surrounding areas to remain the peoples sanctuary.

Please accept the Arundel Alternative bypass route for adoption being the most environmentally friendly band cost effective route creating minimum disruption to the area

This was the least preferred option , and by being £300k plus over budget is just extraordinary. I cannot believe this is a sensible option.

A shorter and smaller alternative will cause less damage to the landscape and historic heritage.

A complete waste of money and even worse waste of a beautiful landscape.

People loosing their jobs, children going hungry, wildlife in a major decline, David Attenborough saying "DON'T DO IT"....Council tax way to high and people struggling to pay it. All this and these clowns have picked the most expensive and longest and destructive route possible, these clowns need their heads banging together, they should be ashamed of themselves, what a waste of tax payers money. Idiots who do not deserve to be in charge of such sensitive and complex decisions. All you will achieve is a EVEN WORSE traffic jam at Chichester and Worthing....CLEVER!
