Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

Please look at online options rather than damage ancient woodland and or quaint villages. Retain the largest tract of ancient woodland along the south coast for the next generation to enjoy.

The proposal for a bypass through Binsted would damage historic woodland, hedgerow and wildlife.

There must be a way to protect our villages and ancient wood lands.

No need for the bypass. Make better use of the existing road from Arundel avoiding a beautiful area.

There is absolutely no need for the proposed Arundel bypass to go through a instead. Full use should be made of the existing dual carriageway between Arundel and Fontwell with a much shorter and much cheaper route totally avoiding Binstead

Please reconsider, this will destroy the village

An awful suggestion, it would ruin the village.

I know Binsted well and think it would be tragic to sacrifice it in this way

There was a perfectly satisfactory route decided upon in the 1990's which used non ancient woodland and affected no one. It is totally irrational to put forward another route which will ruin a rural community.

This proposal, and other destructive road plans for the Arun Valley are madness!

As a retired highway engineer I can see no reason at all why the Arundel Bypass needs to be directed through or close to Binstead.

Binstead is a lovely unspolit village, leave it alone! Worth saving.

Much of beatiful country is being lost. Don't let us lose any more.

Binstead is beautiful don't destry it

To plonk a massive road in the middle of an ancient rural hamlet is nothing short of an act of vandalism. A community with its wildlife, trees and plants is going to be damaged irreparably and the scheme will only solve the traffic problem temporarily before it too gets clogged with additional traffic. We need our villages, our quiet country spaces free of light and noise pollution. If there is a viable alternative, let's pursue it, all of us together.

I frequently visit Binsted and enjoy walks in the area - the landscape with its ancient woodland and meadows is very beautiful and must be protected.

Stop ruining our countyside

Another route must be found that wont totally sever a community and an area of conservation and beauty. Ask the people who are making these decisions how they would feel if their village/town/home were to be devastated by a new road that by the way will only encourage more vehicles to use.

This beautiful village must be protected
