Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

We are loosing too many of our villages to bypasses, Binsted should be saved.

I grew up in the Binsted countryside and still walk my dogs there! It would be disastrous if a road was built through the woodlands

This would stop the congestion at crossbush and surrounding areas brilliant idea

As soon as possible

New roads don't solve congestion,better planned and re-designed existing roads do

Sustainable alternative transport measures, eg demand management & improved facilities for cycling and walking should be implemented, ensuring a safer, healthier atmosphere and safeguarding precious countryside and wildlife

This route would totally destroy the wildlife and this beautiful historic area

I lived very near Arundel, so I know how beautiful that area is. Please find a different route for the bypass and not one that will effectively wipe out Binsted!

Beautiful area don't destroy

I love Binstead woods and have done for 60+ years

Binsted is a tranquil area with Ancient Woods and an atmosphere rarely found in the crowded West Sussex Coastal Plain, it is folly to destroy this special place when there are other road options to be considered. As a Landscape History tutor at University of Sussex I use the area frequently as an example of unspoilt environment.

It will be a crying shame to see more country side being made in to roads and it's such a lovely little village

Why lose yet another tract of our beautiful countryside on the coastal strip when the A27 could easily be widened on its existing route? Once it has gone we will never get it back.

Binsted to be avoided, they must not be allowed to ignore the national park as if it doesn't exist, There are more viable options.

An improved A27 will only attract more traffic onto it and move the congestion further along the road. The only way to solve the problem is to provide a cheap, reliable and integrated public transport network for those who can transfer to it.

I visit Binsted several times a year and love the village and its surroundings.
