Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

It is deplorable that the option for a bypass for Arundel through Binsted was considered in the first place. I travel past Arundel regularly and despite the congestion at times, I would rather have that than think that the road I travel on has destroyed what is an extremely special place in West Sussex for wildlife and for the way that it has stood the test of time. I do support the need for a bypass and strongly support the partly-online option with a short bypass and anti-severance measures.

Living in neighbouring Walberton, I consider this measure will disrup a beautiful peaceful part of the countryside

Please do not put the bypass on ancient wood or on rare wetland sites near the river. There is so much building going on and these sites are special. These habitats need perversion as rare examples of their type in Sussex.

Think this the best option and should be in the consultation. A full range of demand management measures should be examined for inclusion in any package.

Building bigger roads is not the solution soon they will be full too there needs to be a change away from depending on roads and more cars

A huge area on the outskirts of Tonbridge has been destroyed to widen a road with many animals displaced, killed in the process. It look like the remnants of a razed rainforest and it's tragic viewing. Please do NOT do this to an area as precious as Binsted Village. Find alternatives that do not destroy areas of natural beauty and villages with history and heart.

This glorious ancient wood must be preserved. It's England's heritage and there are not many of them left.

Far too much of Hampshire and Sussex are being covered in concrete and destroying villages and communities. Enough is enough.

Binsted has a wonderful woodland which provides a much needed home for wildlife. It has a good community which would be split. I often walk in the woods there and attend the Strawberry Fayre.

Make the current roads wider instead if building more roads and destroying beautiful parts of our countryside.

Build a tunnel to join the two dual carriageway sections either side of Arundel.

please don't build this road - bigger roads encourage more traffic. There is research to prove this.
