This is a proposal to attempt to end ALL conflicts in the world in one year. It is a very ambitious project that will eventually require a lot of support and resources. The goal however is a noble one that no one but those who make money from war will be against.

Become a partner in peace by telling everyone about this petition.

Day 3 to day 30
Every country in the world attempts to understand and empathize with the people facing the conflicts. They try to do so in an objective way. Groups of researchers from relevant professions, such as law and academia and diplomacy are created to define the conflict. They can actively interact by similar groups in other countries in search for data and documentation for their research. Every group would be assigned one particular conflict. Trusted individuals with background in the areas related to the conflict lead each group of researchers. All researchers make a vow to be honest and objective to the best of their ability. They can also be subject to criminal prosecution if they are caught willfully breaking the rules within the group, or doing damage to the global peace effort by other means. Press briefings by research groups are regulated into an objective and common system for all groups. (1)

Day 32
Foreign ministers of all nations meet to declare unanimously their commitments to the "A year to peace" project.
Parties to conflicts provide any necessary updates, and other data regarding the conflict. They are reminded that they will have only one more chance to provide more data that is already in existence. They can always provide new data.
Conflicting parties voice any concerns they may have regarding the location where the global peace research groups meet.

Day 48
The heads of each research group of the same conflict from every country meet. The meetings take place in neutral nations with regard to the particular conflict.
"The conflicting parties are required to voice any objections to the locations of the meetings no later than day 32."
In every meeting hall the global delegations exchange ideas, and attempt to find common language to define the conflict, but no binding language is generated. (2)

Day 72
Foreign ministers of all nations meet, confirming their commitment to the peace project.
They bring with them sealed envelopes containing their country researchers understanding of the conflict, as well as a summary of the data from which they reached their conclusions.
The summaries are not made public for seven days.

All the world nations perception of conflicts on earth is released to the public.

Day 91

The parties to the conflict provide a final draft of their position in the conflict. They must clearly inform the world community of their absolute minimum acceptable solutions to the conflict.
All people on earth are asked to stop all war efforts at all levels to give peace a chance, and not to jeopardize the peace project. They are reminded that any military gains achieved during the projects' period may have to be considered, and that they may have negative influence on the peace researchers.

Day 92- day 105
