The FMOH, especially under Prof Adewole’s leadership, should be commended for standing firmly against those who look forward to collecting salary from government without work. Government should be resolute in sanitizing the healthcare sector by calling the bluff of all who continue to stunt the growth of this vital sector for selfish motives. We commend the Hon Minister for standing up to be counted in this endeavor.

Prof. Isaac Adewole has the ability to head the health sector. Those against him are enemies of the present Buhari administration who want to cause crisis in the country which is capable of negatively affecting the chances of success of Buhari in 2019 election. The crisis in the health sector will escalate if the status quo salary relativity is adjusted in favour of a group to the detriment of medical doctors. It does not matter weather the health minister is a doctor or not. Not responsible minister will not accept this selfish demand. UK, US, Australia and most other countries in the developed world operate relativity in favours medical doctors because the medical doctor is the central pivot in any health care system.
