In order to increase the production of milk, dairy farmers tend to separate the newly born calves from their mothers and are later killed in an attempt to maximize short term profits. Along with it, Oxytocin injections are used several times in a day to increase the milking time while abusing the animals. We aim to eliminate the pain and suffering of dairy animals by creating awareness and promoting ethical alternatives.

I have been reviewing the evidence regarding industry practices around oxytocin and calf separation to compile a formal brief for the ministry. Meetings are being scheduled with animal welfare policy experts to determine the most effective path toward regulatory change.

The current level of engagement has prompted a meeting request from a regional administrative board. I am preparing a formal brief detailing the impact of oxytocin abuse for our presentation next week.

Please don't take the innocent calves from their mothers it's heart breaking I feel depressed after reading the post
i drink buffalo milk and eat veal as it is commanded from Allah to eat from his creatures (halal) but in my opinion there should be a system that no calf and mother will get seperated atleast 02 years of age.
This is a cruel act which should be stop.Allah Subhana Tallah as created the same feeling for a sibling in animal mother like humans
Much much needed in a country like Pakistan which is sheerly insensitive and indifferent to what animals feel.
