I met many new people on the trip and it was a amazing experience that everyone should have.

I think it's unfair for us to lose those opportunities. One of my friends saved up enough money to go on the trips next year (she's a junior right now) and she's devastated that they're being cancelled. The best way to learn language and culture is to experience it firsthand.

I recently went to Italy and Spain, and this trip was possibly one of my best experiences in high school so far. I understand that we live in a dangerous world, but it is important not to give in to terrorism's ultimate goal: causing people to live in fear.

We need trips back, and it'll be a great experience and new memories.

Being a "global citizen" is part of the Somers Schools District's mission. I fully support international travel as one of the many ways students can take advantage of global citizenship!

Going to Ecuador was the most eye opening experience of my life. Don't keep others from that opportunity.

I was never able to go on one of the trips and was very upset that the district took way this amazing opportunity to learn outside of the classroom.

These trips give students unique opportunities to discover new countries and build lasting friendships with their peers.
