Yes I agree. I hear over at Olympic HS they have as many as 40 students to a classroom mobile trailer. CMS has acquired land from Palisades sub division to build that much need relief HS. The land has been excavated and leveled and ready for that HS. That land has been sitting there for over 6 years.

I am all for a relief school for SWMS, especially when my 5th grader will attend that school next year. I say no to CMS plan to make Kennedy Middle the STEM continuation for Palisades Park Elementary. BOARD MEMBERS VOTE NO TO MAKING KENNEDY MIDDLE THE STEM MAGNET. CMS I AM FED UP WITH YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT AND YOUR OVERCROWDED SCHOOLS. THAT JUST NOT RIGHT. ALL CHILDREN IN CMS DESERVE BETTER. And I believe you need to allow my children and all the CMS students to receive the same quality education of your magnet schools. Why should we all have to compete for a magnet seat in one of those magnet schools? Lastly, allow the hard working 500+ students of PPES getting the STEM curriculum to continue beyond elementary school. Which staff, students and parents are working so hard to make it a success. I support this petition. Thank you SW MECK for better schools.

Remember, not all children at Palisades are guaranteed a spot at Kennedy STEM. And most importantly, CMS is just doing a smoke screen. The STEM will NOT solve the overcrowding issues. We need more schools, but we need a temporary solution NOW!

This WILL NOT solve overcrowding issues at SWMS! We are actively involved in many, many ways at SWMS and we know that this will not address the overcrowding. We are at 137% capacity, and multiple children are being bussed past schools that are no where near capacity. Come on CMS!

CMS please stop putting short term solutions in place for long term problems. Solve the overcrowding issue at SWMS now with boundary changes and do not split another elementary school. Allow all PPES students to continue the STEM program at SWMS.
