We the students of 1987 batch of Shri Dakshinamurti Vinay Mandir, Bhavnagar, Gujarat are seeking support from all students who preceded us as well as those who followed us in signing the petition to submit a nomination to the Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation to name the "Old Filter Lane" after Late Dr. Dipak Mehta, our principal.
Dipakbhai was loved and respected by any of us who ever had an opportunity to interact with him. And he also played a central role in designing the blue print of our lives in those crucial teen years.
One does not need to say anything about the impact he hadon our lives. Try naming Dakshinamurti and Dipakbhai will assume center stage in each of our thought, discussion, interaction and reminiscence.
We think this could be an ideal homage to not only a great principal, teacher, educationist, mentor, guide and father figure but also to the best friend we had in school.
