this issue also effects the richard lander bus the driver has taken it into his own hands and puts himself at risk daily stopping the traffic to allow the children to cross safely it will soon be dark when these chgildren go too and come home from school i feel this matter is of great urgency before we have a fatality

I believe an area of the grass verge is going to be pavemented which is one of the conditions of the new development.
I will bring up the issue of enlarging the area at the bus stop with the large area behind it.

I have tried to get this length of road changed to a 40mph but this was declined. I believe it is because there are not enough houses fronting onto the road.

I have many times asked for a 30 speed limit and or traffic calming fixtures at this junction but it gets ignored. It is a very dangerous junction with fast vehicles and a blind bend.

With the likelihood of 20 additional houses on Atlantic Way this junction is only going to get busier with more children using the bus stop. It is vital something is done to improve safety.

and to think that just 1/2 mile up this VERY dangerous road the council have told the residents of Victory cottage next to the Victory pub, that their children are not entitled to the free school bus as the road is deemed safe for them to walk to school. Can you believe it!!!!!! Ludicrous. Its shameful, and who are we going to blame if the is a fatality because of the councils cut backs. And to think they are now given planning approval for another 20 houses to be built on Atlantic way. More children on this dangerous crossing.

Something must be done, there are many options of traffic calming measures that could be put in place to ensure the safety of our children and the parents (also there are a lot of pensioners who use this stop). There are a variety of traffic calming measures all with different budgets which you state on your website, with a guide to the costs involved which do include design and consultation costs,as well as that for construction. ; Speed Cushions, Lane Width Restrictions, Speed Limits, Road Humps. Traffic calming reduces traffic speeds which means that residents, pedestrians and cyclists can live and travel more safely.

This is a residential area, the speed limit should be 30 mph max and there needs to be a safe crossing area

Reducing speed limit should be a matter of priority and be actioned urgently. This is a ridiculously dangerous stretch of road for the National speed limit.

This really does need to be taken seriously, this is an extremely fast road and motorists are more often than not exceeding the speed limit. Please change this and make it as safe as possible for the young primary school children catching this bus every day.
