A Safe Special Town Meeting for Truro

I would just as soon put this off until the April meeting and do it on a Saturday afternoon so all can attend.

Delaying the meeting will only exacerbate the current discord in Town. I hope we can meet on the Saturday per this petition and move toward healing the fractured town environment.

Sat., Nov. 4 will be impossible for me and my family to attend. Please postpone to a Saturday at 10am in the Spring.

We need more time on such a large issue

Plus, Thursday evenings are OCC rehearsals and a number of Chorale members are voters in Truro.

We can no longer pay for big money items while we are struggling to make ends meet.

This makes a lot of sense. A Saturday in April allows for a more detailed forum and proper deliberation. I urge Town leaders to do everything possible to win back the trust of all Truro residents.

I believe in the right to vote as the bedrock of our democracy.

I am one of a number of Truro residents who are members of the Outer Cape Chorale. Rehearsal is Thursdays and we are asked to not miss if at all possible. Saturday is a much better day for town meeting, please.

Driving in the dark is difficult. Please change to a Saturday at 10 like was previously set.

All Town Meetings should be held on Saturdays for maximum attendance. Postpone the articles on the Oct 21 STM Warrant to ATM in April.

Need to make town actions more visible. Too much going on secretly.

I would prefer the April Town Meeting. I was able to (and did) attend on 10/21 and I cannot attend on 11/4.

I recommend delaying the vote until next Spring to further the likelihood of increased participation. Thursday Nov 2nd, late in the afternoon, will guarantee the opposite outcome. Need I really connect the dots?! These are important issues and, as such, increased participation will promote not only the will of the people but also trust in the process. Thanks

I vote for special town meeting to move to a Saturday

My preference is April. Unknown dates for voting is unnecessarily confusing. People make travel plans they can’t change. The more who vote the more accurate and fair the vote is. It’s actually sunset @ 5:33 that night.

A Saturday meeting is definitely the fairest for voters to be able to attend. My preference is that this meeting be rescheduled for April because it’s been changed with short notice and many voters are unaware of it.

Please take a moment to recognize and listen to your constituents in Truro. We all love our town and need you to hear our voices at a preferred time for assembly
