Mr. Warren shaped all of us in so many ways. His passion for the arts is what inspired myself and others to work for a career in a creative role. He taught us how important it is to express yourself and how to maintain grace while doing so. Not dedicating the auditorium after him would be a great loss.

Mr. Warren (Jas) was not just a “teacher” or “director “ for many of those who had the honor of working with him, he was the person that made them feel seen, welcomed and values. He transformed the walls of the theater in a safe haven where all were loved, accepted and celebrated. His vision and ability to inspire students to rise above what they thought they were capable of, to the ranks of “Best in State”, not only highlights his passion for theater education, but his strong connection he had with his students, colleagues and supporters. I hands down believe that the theater at Wharton should be named after James “Jas” Warren as a way to honor the legacy he created and the lives that will forever be changed because of the love he selflessly poured out on the entire community.
