It’s not that hard. Even the governor is encouraging drive-in church services. There can be public Mass without the distribution of Holy Communion.

Please let common sense prevail over panic and mayhem. Open the Churches. Reinstate Mass. I doubt the government will arrest us in mass for attending Mass!

Please stop bowing to the globalist overlords - its time to bring the Eucharist to the faithful now. We were not meant to stay home and "stay safe" and the Church needs to grow a pair.

The governor of Virginia has explicitly permitted drive-in Masses during this time. Why, Bishop Burbidge, are you not allowing your priests to offer public Mass in parish parking lots, following this safe and prudent guidance from the state?:
“ Attendees may travel to their place of worship, park in the parking lot and listen to the religious message while remaining in their vehicles.”

We are in desperate need of spiritual food...of “The Eucharist”. Nothing can replace it in our lives. We urge you to help find creative ways that we can partake again in that which is the source and summit of our faith. We are starving....

It is unnecessary that the diocese is taking higher precautions that what the state is requiring. Safety precautions can be made with out banning/prohibiting the faithful from participating in the mass.
