My mother was offered a contract to play in the WPBL. She played senior ladies fastball in Wpg Manitoba for St Vital.
While she really wanted to go she ended up joining the WRENS and serving her country
While she often said she never regretted her decision she often wondered what it would have been like if she'd chosen ball instead
