A petition to remove Mayor Nikuyah Walker from Office in Charlottesville

It's time people. Enough of this nonsense and hateful behavior.

I am so disappointed in Mayor Walker's past remarks several times in the past. There is a right way and a wrong way to handle disagreements in a respectful way. Every place I have worked, there was an accountability requirement policy on expenditures, ie: vouchers, requisitions, and clearance ahead of time. No one could spend $ without approval or ahead of time unless it was an emergency. Maybe she needs counseling on the proper respectful way to handle getting along with others. I'm sorry that Charlottesville has to deal with this. Her actions do not express unity and cooperation.

I see where she's coming from and agree to a certain extent. But this unhinged post exhibits an unhinged person who is not up to the task of leading Charlottesville through its morass.

We are fortunate to live in a community like Charlottesville. It is not perfect, but certainly deserves a better description than that given by our so-called mayor who is not elected to the ceremonial post. It is a sad state of affairs when our city council appointee use such filthy language to describe the city & people she represents. It is is troubling to see the way she is debasing our community in the national spotlight and yet most citizens seem to silently accept her inappropriate outbursts, while privately condemning them.

Come on. Please think of who sees these posts. As a mayor you also really shouldn’t be saying how much you hate the place that you are supposed to be leading and supporting it seems to me.

She seems to hat Charlottesville so much that she says all kinds of nasty stuff about us! I believe that she needs to be let go and NOT get any kind of severance pay!!

Get her out of there! It would be racist to keep her. She can’t do what she wants just because she’s black.

I am beyond disgusted that Walker was appointed to her position and since that appointment has been nothing but a complete disaster for the city of Charlottesville. Remove her NOW!!!!!!

I moved to Charlottesville 10 years ago. I am proud of my city. I am so disgusted by the actions from our Mayor over and over again. I vote for removal.

Drop the much like the former President part. Walker is no where on the level of President Trump. And yes she is mentally unstable.

We have a wonderful city, not without flaws, but still a great place to live. Do not appreciate the vulgar negativity about Charlottesville.

We need someone to bring people together not divide them. A mayor should not throw his/her city under the bus.

The current situation with the pandemic created a HARD STOP for the entire world. Let's us not waste this opportunity to start a new with the fundamentals instilled in all Americans as well as our nation
