This woman has taken a masterpiece that the late William Bell had created and shamelessly discarded the classy part of this soap by re-writing its history to the point where it's become unrecognizable, not to mention firing so many talented actors/actresses, some of whom came from well-known soaps; If Y&R bites the dust one day or dangerously close, JFP is to blame and the blame should be on CBS/Sony for hiring this soap killer!

Not holding onto Billy Miller was the biggest mistake. The whole Billy storyline sucks. First replaced with a guy who looked 12 and couldn't act - then made unbelievably worse with one who is age appropriate but couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag. Poor Amelia Heinle ! Luckily the guy playing Adam is okay, not as good but I do agree on the reason for his firing.
She is destroying a show I've been watching for 30+ years. Instead of replacing good actors - get rid of Jill Farren Phelps !!

I don't understand why Devon & Hilary can't be a couple after 2 years ... other couples on the show are "official" in months, but the only way these two have been allowed to be together is in an adulterous affair. The plot-driven angle for the writing is not working. The writing, nor screen time is balanced for the characters people really want to see. Summer & Abby are not on the "Must See" list, yet they get loads of screentime. A poll would confirm that most people FF through their scenes, so why are they given the lion's share of screentime? Thankfully Dylan & Avery have been given a rest lately, but they were also being forced on the viewing audience. We need fair, balanced, character-driven storylines with the characters/actors that have proven themselves to be of real interest to the viewing audience. I don't see that taking place now, and I vote for Jill Farren Phelps and Chuck Pratt to be replaced with Kay Alden/Sally Sussmann Morina/Susan Dansby as the exec producers/head writing team.
