If Jill is responsible for failing to negotiate with Billy Miller or for firing Michalel Muhney, she must go! I have been a loyal Y&R fan for 34 years and can no longer watch. Reinstate Michael Muhney and I will come back, along with many other FANS.

ABC’s nearly-cancelled “General Hospital” just whomped CBS’s long running hit “The Young and the Restless” for the second week in a row. “GH” finished first in the two key demos– women 18-49, and 25-54. This means that the only women watching “The Young and the Restless” are 55 and above. They’re either sleeping during the show or watching it as a background noise.
This was the biggest week for “GH” in seven years. What changed? They fired executive producer Jill Farren Phelps, perhaps the most loathed EP in soap history. Phelps is known for firing actors who cross her, killing off favorite characters, and doing just about anything to piss off what’s left of the audience. She did at “Another World,” Santa Barbara,” “Guiding Light”– all gone by the way– and “GH.”
For some unknown reason, CBS and Sony hired her to be EP of their number one show “Y&R.” This week she fired popular young actor (late 30s) Michael Muhney. This has caused a firestorm on the internet. Emmy winner Billy Miller is leaving, too. The show has basically been in chaos since Phelps arrived. It doesn’t look or feel the same. Now “GH” is gaining on it rapidly. The whole thing has turned into a soap opera. CBS and Sony had better act quickly, or the next murder mystery is going to be “Who Killed Y&R?” The culprit is usually Jill Farren Phelps." Could not of stated my stance better. Phelps, is poison, and her actions speak louder then any denial cast members may make to soothe the masses, but it's the masses that buy the products placements, and bank the staff, including her salary. The fans matter, more than anything else to keep viewership alive, Phelps, will kill the fans, just like she does to every show she manages to long. Bottom line Her inability to produce lasting success vs. personal agenda, should be what is looked and studied the truth of her failures are massive.

Ever since she started working at Y & R this show has gone down hill! I am tired of seeing characters switched out for new actors (especially when they do a worse job). I am tired of seeing all the longtime important characters disappearing. Please fire Jill Farren Phelps and bring somebody in who will respect and care about the story of Y & R and it's rich history. Someone who will respect the fans of this show.

Simple, the show went downhill when she took over, from firing the better Noah, to basically chasing Michelle Stafford away, to letting Billy Miller walk, to firing Michael Muhney, this woman has track record of disaster with soaps, why would you hire this soap killer. Michael needs to be rehired, no one else can play Adam Newman.

FIRE the queen of firings! Her reputation preceded her...she's notorious for firing fan favorites, new or old. I know this from her days at "Guiding Light"! This women needs to get a taste of her own medicine! CAN HER ASS!
