Remove Jill Farren Phelps as Excecutive Producer of Y&R. She is clearly not in control of her senses and is on a mad trip to destroy this show.

this show has totally gone down hill since she's taken over. bringing in her favs and letting the fans favs go for no reason just because she can is NOT exceptable to me, or most of the other fans.

I can't believe the way she has treated David Tom. 3 1/2 months? That's it? He was doing a FINE job, a little shaky at first, but he was finding his feet. He ORIGINATED the role of adult Billy Abbott. Such disrespect to that actor. Now you're bringing in some nobody? WOW he's done a couple of guest spots on Nashville and One Tree Hill... PLEASE. And he's 40? Billy Abbott is NOT OLD. SMH. JFP has ruined this soap. She needs to be fired ASAP. I will not watch again until she is GONE.

Although there are fewer soap opera today than in year's past, a compelling story will attract viewers who will remain loyal to the show. Unfortunately, Ms. Phelps has not shown her ability to develop a compelling story line. The Cassie/Mariah story for instance is implausible and it's too much to put on the actress playing the role. She does not have the range to make anyone believe that she is the mysterious, sultry, intriguing Mariah. Kelly's replacement does not have the "broken-ness" necessary to play the role. Jill and Colin? How did an Australian gangster gain entry into the United States? I could go on, but suffice to say, the entire show has declined. The outdoor shots, the repetitive meetings in the park, the pedestrian writing. It's sad, and for the life of me, I cannot understand why the powers that be insist on retaining Ms. Phelps with her proven record as a soaps killer. The Young and the Restless is a cultural icon and could remain on the air for many years to come; however, if Phelps is allowed to remain at the helm, the Young and the Restless will become the Old and the Ossified. That, my friend, no one will want to watch.

The overall problem with Y&R is more than these recasts (which are happening at an alarming rate), it's the depth of the stories. They seem to have no depth to them or they are dragging on and on and on (the music box storyline for example). JFP has made the show a shell of what it used to be..sad to see such a great soap become a revolving door of talent and terrible writing. Maybe it's time to put Bradley Bell in charge of Y&R to bring it back to it's former glory.

I have been watching since 1984, and I hardly recognize my favorite soap anymore. It is a nightmare what this woman is doing to CBS's #1 soap. She clearly does not know what she is doing and apparently wants to do with it what she did to OLTL. Please remove her so we can start enjoying it once again!

I have watched Y&R since 1973. This show now bears no resemblance to my beloved soap. Please, please fire JFP!!! She has totally trashed Y&R to the point that it is painful to watch!

Well living In Australia I'm a bit behind and I've read of Adam and billy's sacking... they're such wonderful characters that continue to grow. Just as we start to love them this nonsense happens. Perhaps the writer of these unnecessary storylines should adopt some of days of our lives resurrections storylines and make it alright for us diehard fans.

When a viewer tunes into a soap and cannot recognize over half of the cast because of recasts and newer characters that havent proved their staying power, it is frustrating and not worth the time trying to figure out the plots, especially with so many new faces. Ever since JFP has taken over, viewers are abandoning Y&R. We want Michelle Stafford, Billy Miller, & Michael Muhney back. They have proven that they truly can play all the facets of their characters so that they can do awful things to make us hate them, yet still redeem themselves to make us love them. Very few actors can acheive this, even with brilliant writing. Fire JFP and bring back our favorites, or you may be writing a funeral in for the series finale of the show :(

Michael Muhney. He is a brilliant actor and we pledge not to watch the Y&R unless he returns and gets all the respect he deserves.CBS ,JFP and Sony have lost respect and credibility forever.
