There are often bad accidents at this intersection because of the inability to see traffic coming. During rush hour periods the intersection is often times blocked off and makes it difficult to access the neighborhood at all. A left turn signal would solve both of these issues by acknowledging that the commuters in the left turn lane have the right away allowing them to cross in safety.

Another problem is that this neighborhood is a simple roundabout and lots of cars try to cut through to avoid traffic, unaware that there is no exit. This is dangerous for pedestrians and children playing outside as well as a waste of time for the driver. A simple "NO THRU STREET" sign could resolve this issue.
