A large number of students use this route to the hospital. It is currently a high risk route and the installation of cycle lanes would reduce the potential for injury to this vulnerable group of road users of whome my daughter a second year medic is one.

Roads are incredibly dangerous to cycle on within the city of Southampton. The council should do far more to support and promote safe cycling.

I cycle this road often and it's horrible, given the large volume of cyclstists using this road I think a cycle lane is essential.

Safety improvements here are absolutely vital. It’s difficult to overstate just how dangerous this stretch of road is to cyclists.

I have recently fallen off on this road, it is dangerous and the cracks in the cycle path are a hazard to anyone that cycles down it.

Improvements are absoloutely required given the hundreds of students and staff who cycle this road daily in order to access the hospital. It is unfair the little room and poor road surface cyclists have to deal with.

perhaps something more drastic and longer lasting needs to be thought about! Putting a cycle lane on both sides of the road may make matters much worse so not sure that's the answer!

I had a significant accident at the bottom of dale road after a pedestrian stepped out into the bike lane. I may be worth considering that in any changes
