100% NO! Who can afford this? We can barley get to and from work, feed and clothe our families. Rediculous!

this tax hike is just another impact on our income. Between the many tax breaks that have expired and tax increases throughout the state, franklin county does not need any more tax increases. They should adopt california's property tax laws (prop 13) where tax is equal to 1% of your purchase price and never goes up (or down).

Already high enough in Franklin County. We can figure out another way to balance the budget.

Please consider NO increase, or a much lower increase in Franklin County property tax rates. This will hurt our residents!

Please don't raise our property tax. Most can barely pay what we pay now

We don't get a lot for what we pay now. Whee does the money go? It sure hasn't gone to raises for the deputies and lower level workers. There is no reason our tax rate should be higher than Wake or Durham yet they want a tax hike that large. Next year they will want a 20 % increase to cover the taxes they are not collecting because people are leaving in droves. I guess that's one way to curb population growth! Wake up and listen to your voters. Or maybe you are planning on using the tax hike to fund your unemployment benefits when the voters show you all the door!

I'm sorry, but this increase does not reflect that economic state of the county, surrounding counties, or state as a whole. NO on the tax increase.

Your people can't afford any more taxes right now. We are barely able to pay the light bills and eat. My husband is still unemployed.

There is no viable strategic plan for economic development in Franklin County. Towns are also raising taxes. The county has added high paid staff. There are endless scandals; golf course, airport, records, contracting, elections, etc. Elected officials refuse to answer questions. The answer is not more taxes. It is reduced spending and accountability. This is timed before an election, and the reason is clear.
