Gary Bettman says he's "sorry" for the lockout. The purpose of this petition is to get Mr. Bettman to show us, the undersigned fans of the National Hockey League, that he's sorry by making up for it in one simple. To wit, we want Mr. Bettman to agree to appear in the goalie rotation at the elimination shootout during the 2014 All-Star Weekend SuperSkills Competition. As the goalies playing in the All-Star Game are usually the goalies participating in the elimination shootout, we ask that the seniormost goalie participating be relieved of his obligations in order to free up room for Mr. Bettman to join the competition. In return for Mr. Bettman's act of sacrificing his own body for our entertainment, we will agree to forgive him and his bosses (the 29 NHL owners) for their part in the 2012-2013 NHL lockout.
