Brunswick Park is a well loved and well used by the whole community that lives around it but the play area is old, badly designed and no longer fit for purpose.
Most of the equipment is at least 25 years old, with some of it dating back to the 1950's. Residents have been promised a new play area for years while watching other parks in Southwark and the surrounding area be regenerated.
It is time for a better park for our children.
We, the undersigned call on Brunswick Park Councillors and Southwark Council to by Summer 2015, have invested in the play area of Brunswick Park providing it with new modern, age-appropriate and well designed equipment and a ground surface suitable for all ages.

The council has not responded to our inquiries yet so we must increase the pressure. Email your local representative today and demand they visit the park to see the broken equipment firsthand. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall to ensure our neighbors see that we are still fighting for this space.

The momentum behind this petition is undeniable and shows that our neighborhood is ready for change. Now I need you to email your local representatives and demand a plan for the new play area equipment.

Don't trust this, after I signed it ask for a donation in dollars, plus I already pay for the upkeep of the park through local tax's. If I could remove my signature I would.
And could I also add that whenever I mention going to Brunswick Park my daughter says 'not Brunswick Park, it's boring!' so we generally avoid it even though it's our nearest park by far.
