It is known fact the term Redskin was used by Native Americans to self-identify. They used the name with pride. Re-writing history is damaging to everyone. Please be able to distinguish between the truth and the false narrative of those who have tried to pervert the name/meaning.

My Mother went to Conrad . Two of my three sisters went to Conrad. My brother went to Conrad. I went to Conrad. We are all proud to be Conrad Redskins .We are all proud of our school's history and rich traditions Don't change our name just for the sake of political "correctness" . I and all my family are totally against the name change !

This has been a source of pride for many of us who not only attended Conrad, lived in the area rich with Indian history, but are also descendants of Indians (yes, we non-politically correct Indians call each other Indians)

I just don't understand why? Both mom and dad are graduates from Conrad class of 50 & 51 and all this craziness. I find it sad how just a few can and are allowed to cause such heartbreak to so many. It makes no sense! Conrad Redskins forever!

I believe most of the native Americans I spoke with feel that their symbols and culture is being erased. They feel that they have a lot of issues that are more important. They feel that any symbols, learning materials, jewelry are a positive. They feel the mascot issue is false and they feel like they are being eradicated.

Witnessing a year of constant denial of facts just boggles ones mind. Please convince voters to use education when voting. Not emotion. If they honor that. I will accept the outcome.
