We the undersigned, do petition the City Council of Peoria to change the name of S.W. Meyer Ave., from Oak St. south to Lincoln Ave., to " Willie York " Blvd. Whereas Willie York has contributed more to the flavor and character of Peoria than some of it's native born celebrities, there are currently no edifices or landmarks honoring Peoria's Most Famous Icon. We the undersigned, hereby ask the Peoria City Council to adhere to our wishes and honor Willie York in a way that he will never be forgotten and in a way that will reflect the love that the people of Peoria and the surrounding area have for him.
