Many students have tried to contact Financial Aid at San Diego City College by phone and have been put on hold immediately and with out introduction or response. This does not help to address the needs of students that may not have the ability to be at this office in person. Indeed, this action (and seeming attitude) of placing people on hold without addressing the person or their issue, amounts to slamming a door in their faces after opening it. It is not only rude but very unprofessional. It is our petition that at least one person is dedicated to answering the incoming calls for the Financial Aid office at San Diego City College and transferring the calls to an advisor or counselor within a reasonable amount of time or inform the caller after a reasonable amount of time to call back or to come in in-person.
