Our online petition is about not having a mimimum wage for under sixteens. We feel strongly that it is un-fair that you do not get a set national wage under the age of sixteen, there is rules in place for sixteen’s and over but there is not one for under sixteen’s. We have found out in the that there has never been a set amount to pay under sixteen’s, so the employer could pay as little as they liked and the employee who was under sixteen could not do or say nothing about it. As we are coming up to the age of sixteen and looking for jobs we are seeing the real disadvantage of not having a mimimum wage for under sixteens. Our campaign is to give people the voice to be heard at the things they think should be outspoken they is a great deal of misunderstandings about people and their age to work as people think that older people need to work more to provide a stable family home to support their family, where as this campaign sees it as under sixteen’s should be able to work a certain amount of hours with getting paid a set wage at the same time not cash in hand.
