The reach of this petition has shifted our position to a level where legislative offices in Vermont have begun responding to our inquiries. I am currently drafting a formal request for a meeting with the committee chair to present our demand for felony status on child abuse cases.

someone needs to have open eyes and start protecting children they are our gifts and our future
All abusers and their enablers should get a mandatory life in prison sentence no parole .
I was abused as a child then I got put into the foster care system and was abused by my foster Mother. Child abuse needs to stop. People whom abuse helpless children should be charged s if they murdered someone. As far as I am concered, murder/homicide and child abuse should be treated the same. Children are not able to deffend themselves and thier abusers are intentanally causing pain and are intentanally hurting these poor babies so they should treat all these cases like attepted murder/murder/homicide and give them the death penalty.
all children deserve to be children and to laugh and smile...not to be treated as objects!!!
who's gonna help all these innocent babies?!!! It takes a community to raise children, we all have to do our part!!!!!...

As a victim of child abuse, and I now have my own daughter this needs to change!
