just when we thought racism was a thing of the past.. the hill club of nuwara eliya, sri lanka does not allow locals to book their hotel in order to keep the colonial british ruing tradition alive! Members and their guests are welome, but not sri lankans. Any non sri lankan national can just walk in or book the hotel online.

The feedback regarding these exclusionary practices continues to highlight the need for a formal review of hotel policies in Nuwara Eliya. I am currently preparing a detailed correspondence to present to the local tourism board regarding these discriminatory barriers. Thank you for maintaining your focus on this important matter of fairness.

Why are the local authorities allowing this to happen? If this happened in any other country would they tolerate it?!
This is ridiculous the way they are operating the establishment needs to change...What's the state governing body to make an official complain?

In our own country we are treated like outsiders in our own home town. Disgusting elitism that needs to end now.
