Dear Professor Raghida Oueida,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for this great semester. You have been a great professor to us and you taught us valuable things that will stick with us for a long time. Moreover, we would like to state that this will not change no matter what the outcome of this petition is.

Professor we do not want to rant or take from your time a lot. But we would like to share our concern with you knowing that you will definitely know better about what is best for us. We would like to ask you to exclude the material that we already were examined on. You know more about how tight on time we are. Due to work overload we will not be able to perform our best and get you the grades that would be an actual reflection of how you were with us and how much we learned from this course. Not in this course or any other course in this semester. One grade might affect some of us that have critical cases or others who were doing well throughout their time in AUB but, unluckily, had to be in university under this semester’s circumstances.

Prof. Raghida our aim by this is definitely not getting an easy exam for free grades or getting grades that we do not deserve. On the contrary. We want to earn the grades. Our aim is including material that is within our capacity for us to have the chance to get the grades that we deserve and are capable to achieve. Because if we want to be honest with you, we do not have the time to achieve them. It’s scheduled on the first day of exams leaving us very minimal time to prepare for it, let alone preparing for other exams also scheduled on the same day and the upcoming week

We apologize in advance if we caused a fuss about this issue, but we know you treat us like your children and would like us to raise our issues to you.

Thank you very much for your time and we hope we get the chance to be up to your expectations no matter how this turns out

Sincerely,

Your Geology 205 Students
