The Hebrew Language Charter School of Boulder’s mission is to create a racially and economically diverse school in which students learn Modern Hebrew in a dual-language environment. Students will also receive an excellent education and become ethical and informed global citizens. To accomplish this, Hebrew Language Charter School of Boulder will offer an academically rigorous curriculum (K-8) grounded in the Teachers College Readers and Writers workshop. Students’ education will include intensive instruction in Modern Hebrew with the integration of service learning, arts, music and global studies. We are proposing to open a K-8 school in the fall of 2016 with grades K-2, adding a grade each year till we are fully built out.
