A Call To Action For Domestic Violence and Stalking Reform

I've been divorced from my Ex-husband for 15 years and he is still 'legally" using my daughter and the family courts as "tools" to stalk and abuse me (and my daughter). STOP THE INSANITY!!!!

I suffer fromPTSD & I have many physical conditions because of the abuse, I've had surgery but it didn't help I take medication regularly & am often in pain. It upsets me to see him doing whatever he wants to with no psysical problems. Thank God I left when I did cause I don't tho.k I'd be around

My abusers never stop. I am an accomplished woman whom married an abuser during a very vulnerable time in my life. The abuser's family told me the abuser and his brother would do absolutely "anything" to me. I feel like I could shout this from the roof tops and most would com I need help. The abuse is not going to stop without help and they have my children. Very Scarey that the system destroys victims while enabling abusers. This is not going to stop without awareness and advocacy. The abusers are thriving and getting their regular fix by watching victims suffer. This is highly detrimental for victims everywhere as well as all of society in general. What kind of future is being built for future generations when children see those whom act with integrity destroyed while abusers thrive?

I am struggling to be a survivor. Even though I escaped my abuser in 1994, I am still plagues with medical issues as a result of the violence, I need surgery that I have no money to have. Abusers should be held more accountable for the damage they do. I was told that would be handled in equitable distribution. My ex went to court for EQ & I was never notified of a court date. How does this happen???

I suffer from PTSD as a result of an abisivr behaviour and have been stalked since. I just kept getting referred by my GP to outsourced places that were inaccessible. I've had to cope on my own since then

We can not expect victims of domestic violence to make a new life for themselves and their families it if their hands are tied and they continue to to denied help.

I have been a victim and had many friends and family members who have been affected by this terrible cycle of violence and want to help in any way I can

Please help pass this crucial reform. Stalkers do not just invade a woman or man's privacy there are dangerous. People are being maimed and killed by these sick Stalkers. Thank you in advance for your help, God Bless

This world is sick anymore and even some of the judges we depend on as our last resort to be safe with that flimsy paper called a restraning order does NO good if not enforced. That paper is almost guaranteed to get a violent reaction from the one delivered to. All hell breaks loose then.

My children and I are victims of a 4yr Domestic Violence relationship at the hands of their father. I'm still being dragged through the courts by him for no reason at all but to bring more harm to me by abusing the court system to do his harassing. Please lets put a end to this where no other women or children have to suffer the same fate as some of us here.

Being stalked is like being hunted. When is continues for years with no safe haven, the destruction physically, emotionally, financially, socially continues until complete or stopped. In my case, I lost everything - and I know now it will never stop. Communities and authorities must understand the diabolical nature of this crime - and be required to take action and to take complaints very seriously. Until it happened to me, I didn't understand - these stories need to be told and heard and actioned.

Women are often revictimized by the patriarchal legal system, which is often skeptical of their stories due to culturally perpetuated stereotypes of the typical victim. It is crucial that funding that government funding be provided to organizations that respect a woman's right to avoid having to rely on the legal system to seek refuge from stalking and domestic abuse.
