We oppose Option C of the Lower Thames Crossing. There is no definitive proof that the investment, which is virtually a branch line, will make any difference to the problems outlined. Say NO to destroying green belt land! This will surely lead to devaluation of house prices and will ruin quality of life for those left close to this possible blot on the landscape.

Stop tankers at Dartford solve the problem. Option C will ruin at least 3 Kent villages, expand the London conurbation and destroy GREEN BELT LAND. A huge NO to Option C.

Another tunnel at dartford to filter the hgvs over to Essex. Probably come close to their 14% of traffic.. When tilbury power station is developed it might very well have some Ro ro berths available for hgvs. The same for the London gateway container terminal and maybe Coryton which has been mothballed for several years.Opt c a huge NO.

Why does the majority of European traffic have to come through Dover? Redirect it to other ports in Essex and beyond and it will reduce the amount of traffic at Dartford.

Why destroy precious greenbelt, ancient woodland and rich biodiversity at Shorne and Chalk when there is already a dedicated crossing area at Dartford. It will be cheaper to build the additional crossing there

It is unbelievably shortsighted to consider option C. The existing road network will not be able to sustain the increased levels of traffic. It will make life miserable for all residents in Gravesend and Rochester

This is a very expensive option and one that will not solve the problems at Dartford. It is not just the biodiversity that will suffer, it will also decimate the landscape of Charles Dickens writings. Other countries would treasure this heritage, not destroy it. It needs to be protected for all future generations to enjoy.

Highways England stands for highway robbery of peoples lives. Not everything needs to go by road its time to think outside of the box. use hubs and move goods around by rail cut fumes and protect the environment.

Totally unacceptable. This scheme will devastate Gravesham's community and its increasingly damaged environment. It is not for us to find solutions to the Government's chaotic transport policy.

If as Highways England state, that 3 other crossings will be built west of the Dartford Crossing then there must be no need at all for the proposed one at Gravesend devastating communities & ancient woodlands.
