* * NOTTINGHAM CITY CENTRE RETAILERS NEED YOU! * * Nottingham City Council is preposing the removal of A-boards throughout the City Centre, from all of your favourite shops, cafes & bars. Advertising boards or A-boards as they are commonly known are widely used to advertise a retailer's wares and current offers available to customers. In particular, playing a vital role to the advertisement of the Independent's out there. The City Council appear to be using this as an easy way to clean the streets, without regarding the knock on effect for others. Many of the retailers, both national chains & independents feel that this is a low-blow in already difficult economic times. The City Council themselves have plenty of on-street advertising throughout the City Centre, including boards, banners and lamp-post signs, it appears to be one rule for one, and another rule for everyone else. We the retailers, desperately need your support by signing this petition, so that we can show the Nottingham City Council evidence that they aren't really causing anyone any harm and that they are indeed vital to encourage trade. Please take a few moments to join this petition, it will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks for reading. Jasmin - Homemade cafe & Marcus - Atlas deli. on behalf of the rest of the retailers in Nottingham!
