For the amount of kids that live on the estate. The size of the existing park is unacceptable.

There are a lot of children on the estate of various ages, they need a good play area to run off steam and have fun. The play area we have now is too small and there is insufficient equipment

We need a park for ALL ages to help promote a health lifestyle. Equipment that makes them want to go and use the facilities all the time.

The new park has not been planned well. It is mainly suitable for +4's. The old park has a smaller climbing frame with a slide which is perfect for toddlers. This equipment should be moved to the new park.

We need better play equipment ,I will clarify more play equipment as there just two swings one slide for whole 4000 people in estate..
And another important point please don't scrap the old park equipment ,its absolute waste of resource

This is a waste of perfectly good equipment. The new park is not suitable for the under 2's. They only have one swing and the climbing frame/slide is far too big for them.

As a mum of two and a Childminder, this is something I feel very strongly about. I have taken children to the original playground on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis over the last six years. We have always been promised that the original play equipment would be moved to the new playground. In fact there used to be a sign on the playground gate stating that this is a temporary playground but once the permanent playground is built all of the equipment will be relocated. I'm appalled at the recent comment I've received stating that "It will probably just be cleared when the local centre development starts."

I definitely agree the old equipment needs to be incorporated into the new park. I have 2 girls 6 & 1 and the new park is rubbish. My 6 year old gets bored and there’s nothing but 1 swing for my 1 year old. Awful.

The decision to scrap the perfectly useable old park equipment is outrageously wasteful, and frankly ludicrous given that the existing park is so lacking in equipment. The Waverley residents have been told for years that the equipment would be retained. If we had known that this were not to be the case, we would have objected to the plans for Central Park. We feel duped. What a senseless waste.

There are more than 600 households on the estate with one playpark not fulfilling the needs of the residents and definitely not what was promised!!!
More equipment
More swings and some monkey bars required please.
