Women of Halifax lets band together and demand respect when it comes to our parking needs. With few parking spots for pregnant women and moms with infants many of us have struggled to walk across long parking lots, through rain, snow and on ice to get into stores, only to find cars parked needlessly in 'our spots' when clearly they are without child. Barely being able walk near the end of pregnancy, some of us also have to carry another toddler or infant at the same time to get much needed groceries to feed our families fearing we may slip and injure ourselves or our children while others carelessly take over our parking spots. It is illegal to park in handicapped parking, therefore, we must stand together and demand recognition and equal parking priviledges that we deserve.

Just common sense. Help the moms out.

My wife is 8 months pregnant and she struggles just to get out of the car. People need to show some common decency.

It should be mandatory at every grocery store. Try carrying a toddler and a bag of milk across a parking lot in the rain. Not fun.

Long overdue. The stress of trying to find a spot while the baby is crying is the worst.

Living in Halifax means dealing with ice half the year. Carrying a car seat across a massive parking lot in January is actually dangerous. About time this happened.
