Although processes should be respected and applied consistently, there are opportunities to adjust AFDA's approach so that teams are not penalised for similar administrative oversights if this happens again in future (see Tam's suggestions). Zig Theory is a hard working, competitive and passionate club full of dedicated women. They have shown up as fierce competition at Division 1 Nationals for several years and deserve the opportunity to compete. The flow on impact of a third season missed for these South Australian athletes will impact their development potential, motivation levels and performance in subsequent years. We want to continue to grow the sport across all regions and empower athletes outside the East Coast, so I believe there is a strong case to overturn this decision and allow Zig Theory to compete. Good luck team, I hope they listen to your case!

Association needs to step up its game and it's unfair to punish teams who work hard to get there.
