I believe the current proposed regulations have too strict of setbacks, the 5 mile spacing is too onerous , the 8 ft depth requirement doesn't make sense to me. It will be costly to bury and costly at decommissioning. One thing i think the regulations are missing is a bonding requirement.

I had been looking into puting in solar panels for my properties - mini-storage buildings and for my home... Under the limitations proposed, I wouldn't be able to do so. My 2.7 acres is only 100' wide with neighbors within 200' of the proposed placement of panels.
I would prefer to be able to make those decisions without restrictions or undue pressure from local government agencies.

As third generation farmer in Goshen I find such policies appalling. The very people who preach individuals freedom and land owners rights, now want to take this rights away. I am not a fan of green energy but is someone wants to buy it then we should sell it to them.

The government sometimes forgets it is '...for the people...'.
Goshen County's government is limiting the people in the interest of a very few. These few have no way to offset the losses that will come to Goshen from these restrictions. The limitations on property rights hurt the individual and the county as a whole, unlike almost every other county in this state that has a reasonable approach to foster development and growth. Goshen's elected officials need to get a reality check from the residents, property and business owners, farmers and ranchers.
When in doubt, preserve our rights by preserving our freedom to pursue our own lives, liberties, and happiness.

If the restrictions pass, the only thing it will do is restrict business into Goshen County. The restrictions are being pushed to prevent wind energy from coming to Goshen County. It is my understanding, wind studies have been done and this is not the ideal location therefore those worries are unnecessary. Let the land owner decide. Nobody gets involved with the property owners on the edge of Torrington from every direction. It's a junk yard no matter what highway you're on.

The rules should align with the State Industrial Siting Commission's rules, plain and simple!

History has proven, a society slowly dies with each new law. Goshen County is dying from those who want to restrict property rights.
