The gravel road at the end of Captains Way is privately maintained by the residents.

Absolutely opposed to this. The property owner has clearly stated in the previous application for the solar farm that they are aware of the amount of chemicals, etc. that are just left seeping into the ground/ground water. The assumption is that they will be connected wells (similar aquifer) that will become a major health issue. There would need to be significant EPA (or similar agency) involvement to make sure the land suitable before they even consider the application instead of "we'll do it after"
Trashing this Land with more homes is greedy and does not respect the surrounding environment which we have all enjoyed and would like to see continue

As a environmental justice investigator it is my opinion that this application is an attempt to harass those who did not support the solar farm application. However the local roads, infrastructure cannot handle the increased traffic, the boat launch site i believe they want to develop is wetlands and there will be a long battle if the green light is given to develop this launch. Where will these ‘new’ residents find work in this area? I witnessed such ‘development’ in Louisiana in rural areas which led to increased crime as well as poaching and demands on social services. Lastly this is A1 farmland, an asset that we are losing daily in the US. The landowner has many other sites closer to main roads and villages that he could use for such a development. The farm land is a continuing source of income, a trailer park is a one off!

If the proposed trailer parks is kept in the same manner the farm is kept, it will be an eyesore. Old, unused and junk equipment is scattered all over the farm. Whay’s Creek Rd is not a road that can handle increased traffic.
