Carol Anne is the main reason I watched CTV news in the evening. She was always such a down-to-earth, positive person who was very involved in the community.

Carol Anne is an icon in Ottawa media. I cannot believe that letting her go is based on her performance or popularity ... two main ingredients in media success and profitability. Personally, I am disgusted with your decision-making. It is clearly flawed at the highest levels.

Shame on you! I imagine Max keeping is turning in his grave! How long have you waited to do this?. Couldn't you have waited till she was ready to retire? Hopefully you will reconsider your decision after the outpouring of support Carol Anne is receiving!!!

Why let her go now? Let her stay until she can retire. Unless you're giving her an early retirement package. She is the one holding the 6 o'clock show together. With all the miss cues from the technicans and loss of voice data from reporters on the road, she has become one reason to watch CTV at 6 p.m.

I am extremely disappointed with the abrupt way Carol Anne was laid off. She has been a part of our evenings for so many years and I am going to miss her witty comments and ad-lib as well as her serious demeanor. Bell Media should be ashamed with the way they have treated such a valuable member of the community. The timing of this decision seems very suspicious given the recent passing of her co-anchor Max Keeping. I can only imagine how disappointed Max would have been if Carol Anne had been treated if he were still with us. Shameful.

I`ve been watching Carol Anne Meehan for 27 years on CTV and this does not make any sense. Someone mentioned do not take such a treasure away from Ottawa.
