Carol Anne Meehan has been a dedicated voice of the 6 O'clock evening news on CTV for 27 years. I strongly urge Bell Media to reinstate Carol Anne to this position thus showing that you are listening to what viewers want.

This was such a shock to me and my family! After Max, Carole Anne was the main reason I watched the show! I no longer watch CTV Ottawa News at 6.

This should never have happened, at least in the way it was carried out. Not even a chance to say goodbye to her loyal followers. Shameful! Not like Bell is short of money.

By habit, turned on the 6:00 pm Ottawa news. Immediately changed to CBC.
That is unfortunately the new norm in our household, after a lifetime of tuning into CJOH.

What a disgrace to layoff long time anchor employee. Bell should be ashamed. They should layoff less senior ppl. Keep the Royal ppl close because that who made their company great!!!!

I understand there are business decisions to be made and I feel for everyone who lost their job during this time of cost cutting ~ but why would you decide to remove such a branded icon to your station? Carol Anne Meehan has many supporters in Ottawa and Ottawa Valley area and tune in to spend an hour every day with their on air family members. Bring back Carol Anne - the news is not the same without her. Please send her my best wishes.
