I was so upset when I heard about the layoffs at CTV Ottawa, especially Carol Ann Meehan & Carolyn Waldo. These two were one of the main reasons I watched the news on this station. I have now switched over to news on CBC Ottawa!

CTV news in Ottawa at 6pm is 'Carol Anne' I don't know her and yet I feel like I am meeting up with a good friend every night at 6pm. I will watch another news channel now rather than watch CTV without Carol Anne. I tolerated it through the summer without her but can't believe that you have intentionally made such a wrong decision for your news show. Someone should lose their job over this one.

How could they do that to you after all you have done for the community and for charity?
And coming on the heels of your husband's death and then Max's?
You deserved MUCH MUCH better than that.
Have they learned nothing at all from all your humanity?

I could not believe when I heard that Bell Media had let Carol Anne go. In a smaller market like Ottawa, she is the face of the news. Bell does not care about local programming, only making as much money as it can by any means possible.

We miss Carol Ann who brought knowledge and spark to the CTV news. We watched CTV news because Carol Ann was like part of our family. We will be watching another news channel now. Hope to see you back in our homes.
