I was very sad and angry to hear that Bell Media fired Carol Anne Meehan. Bell Media has made a huge mistake. The news will never be the same.

Carol Anne has been a part of CJOH and CTV for so long that she has become the face of Ottawa news. If a poll were taken I think you would find that people like Carol Anne and JJ Clarke suit your audience better than some of your newer additions.

I am both angered and saddened about Bell Media's firing of Carol Anne Meehan and Bell's blatant disregard for her great work in our community. I have followed her, throughout her many years, as an anchor with CJOH/ CTV Ottawa. Carol Anne is like a member of our family, we invite into our homes every night. Bell Media will feel our wrath when we switch to other news stations for our evening/local news.

This is a tragedy. Carol Anne Meehan is CTV News at 6. She should be rehired immediately. It's definitely not the way you treat a long time and loyal employee!!
